whats the best time to go, i want to avoid the hurricane season.

Any time of year outside the hurricane season, primarily July/August through the end of Oct.

Spring is nice. Not too hot . You can enjoy a full day in the sun- without the sweat of summer.

I went last August during 3rd or 4th week, lost two days of my time their due to what eventually became Hurricane Katrina. Stayed at the Atlantis Royal Tower. Had been there before. Very nice but quite expensive.
Anytime really I don't think it gets below 70 Degrees there. Just try to avoid the hurricane season (Aug.-Nov.)if you don't want to gamble on cutting your trip short
