If you want a cultural experience the best time to go is Christmas but more specifically BOXING DAY (December26) and NEw Years Day. There is a festival called JUNKANOO that has it roots in the African heritage of the Bahamas. It is a parade through the streets of the islands with music provided by cowbells, whistles, drums, brass intrucment and magnificent costumes--some of them as tall as 15 feet.

If you want the best beach time -- that might actually be around APril-May. The balmy breezes are just kicking in. The beaches in the summer are great if you looking for a tan. But beware this is the same time as Hurricanes. September is also a good time. Some good deals on hotels can be had. but also the weather is really nice then.

been there plenty of times..do not go during winter!
the best time to go is like september (ish) and march/april. once again summer is way too hot. so right after summer like september and october maybe even november if you want to push it and march and april are also really good. hope you enjoy

I've been to the Bahamas several times. Summer is too hot to really enjoy everything. I would say my favorite trip was in November. The weather was beautiful. I went swimming with stingrays and the water was a little cold for me. We still had a great time! Besides the water, the weather was perfect for sightseeing, shopping, etc.! Have fun!
