What are your interests? Jamaica has lots of stuff all through the year to interest visitors. There's no winter so there are no weather restrictions. You need to be more descriptive about what you want to do here. If all you want is sun and beach, then just about any time will do. If you're worried about costs then come outside of the winter season (Dec. - Mar.)

Jamaica is pretty year round. Personally, I wouldn't go in the summer because that's hurricane season. Besides, it is very nice there in the winter (still great temperatures) so why risk having your vacation ruined by summer storms?? My favorite time there is Dec-Feb.but that's just my opinion.
Anytime in general. It all depends on what you want to do. If you want to say Scuba Dive there are months you want to avoid due to chances of rough seas (LATE Dec , Early Jan) and lots of rain (Nov).. . Dont get me wrong, DEc and JAn will give you severe sun burns but is just not great for Scuba. Dont listen to anyone about hurricanes. The USA gets hit far more with Hurricanes (every year) than Jamaica. The last hurricane to hit Jamaica was Gilbert in 1988 ! I do wish people would look at the Hurricane landfall statistics before assuming that we get hit all the time. So if you want to avoid a hurricane dont travel to Florida during the summer months.
